ADMISSION INTO THE SCHOOL OF NURSING AMACHARA AND UMUAHIA 2023

The nursing service department of the ministry of health, Abia State Nigeria announces the sales of her application for Basic Nursing at the school of Basic Nursing Training Amachara and Umuahia Stream A 2023 academic session. Sales of applications which commenced on 30^th January 2023 are expected to close on 6^th March 2023. The screening examination has been scheduled for Saturday, 11 March 2023 at the Abia and Umuahia centres. The Examination starting time is 8 am which means candidates are to be in the various centres on or before 7am on the examination date.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applications are invited from only qualified candidates for admission into Schools of Nursing Amachara and Umuahia. The candidates must full fill the following admission requirements:

-          Must have Five (5) O’level credits compulsory in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or any equivalent O’level examination widely recognized.

Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only Paid into Bank (UBA and Zenith Bank only).

The nursing Scheme at the School of Nursing Amachara and Umuahia, Abia State is a three (3) years duration course, at the end of which a Mid-Wife Nursing certificate is awarded to her graduating students to practice nursing at any designated medical facilities in the country.

About School fees and Tuition as of the last approved tuition fee of the school in 2022, each student pays a tuition fee of Forty-Five thousand naira (N45,000.00) only.

Registered Nurses

Registered nurses (RN) form the backbone of health care provision in most countries of the world. RNs provide critical health care to the public wherever it is needed.

c)       Administer medications and other personalized interventions

d)      Coordinate care, in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals

Regulatory Body:

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria is the regulatory body saddled with the right and responsibility to register, accredit and discredit any school or institution or department rendering Nursing training in Nigeria. The body was established by the Nursing and Midwifery Act, Cap. N143. Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
